The cold winter weather is a perfect pairing for the warm and sensual notes of the best new perfumes this season. From enigmatic to cozy, seductive to delicate, there are so many choices from big brands, celebrities and more. Below are a few of my recent favorites for Winter 2011 perfume picks.
[Gucci] Flora
An explosion of femininity, this new scent from Gucci is both delicate, very feminine and expressive at the same time. It’s light, almost aerial, and subtle, yet sensual and elegant. This fragrance is probably more fitting for a younger woman, but it has a definite level of sophistication.
You will feel: spontaneous, confident, brave, girly
[Dolce & Gabbana] rose the one
The first thought that comes to mind when you experience this scent is – it’s the perfect perfume for a special night out. It’s the scent of seduction, beauty and mystery. With the dominant rose (as the name states) and subdued tangerine and grapefruit, its floral and citrusy aura is a powerful combination. It’s simply magnetic. As with any strong perfume, just a small amount is required, so it will go a long way.

[Shakira] S
I will be slightly biased here since my absolute favorite scent is jasmine and this new perfume by the hip-shaking Shakira boldly plays this as the main key in this beautifully oriental perfume. With added sandalwood and warm vanilla, it’s a perfect scent for cold days. The bottle is reminiscent of an oriental perfume bottle. Based on the scent composition, it’s not entirely original, yet its familiarity will make it that much popular.
You will feel: warm, sensuous, relaxed
[Calvin Klein] Beauty
Consistent with Calvin Klein’s simplistic aestetic, this new fragrance is deliciously classic, under-stated yet strangely mesmerizing. It’s a womanly scent that is both powerful and feminine, moving and elegant. A perfect scent for a day at the office, and easily transitions into a night out.
