Herbed Scallops recipe

herbed scallops Scallops are quick to make and full of flavor. Add a little of our seasoning mixture and you will elevate this dish to something special. Serve with rice or simple noodles and add a yellow vegetable for a splash of color.

Serves 3

Ingredients:

  • 12 sea scallops
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons sweet paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry parsley or a bit of fresh chopped
  • ground pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Prepare the seasonings in a gallon sized ziplock bag – mix paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper and parsley, mix well.

2. Rinse the scallops and pat dry. Make sure they have been defrosted if frozen previously.

3. Place the scallops into the bag with seasonings and gently rub/mix together. Let sit for a few minutes.

4. Heat up butter in a medium pan at low to medium heat.

5. Place the herbed scallops into the pan and cook about 3 minutes on each side. Be careful not to overcook as the scallops will get chewy. This seasoning will bring just the best colors of this yummy seafood. Enjoy!
